I was doing a search on Jack Griffith, and came across this;

http://www.tvrna.com/jomar.html

Click on the "next" at bottom of page to. Was a fascinating read.

The TVRCC NA is very active. Every year they hold a gathering called Woodwork. Terminator is their European rep. Many members over there have more than 1 TVR.

They have some fantasticly preservered pre-80's TVRs (Grannies, Griff 200/400/600, M series etc.), and a smattering of later models - mainly brought in from Canada I think. There even is/was a Cerbera in California. The NA club is run by Marshall More, who is a very nice guy, and he is now writing reports for Sprint.

They have their own Yahoo e-group (Pre-80s), which covers all their models.

Sorry to butt in, but are there any rules against importing an older TVR to the USA? Namely Utah? It's a question that may be cropping up in my life.... Cheers!

I know that there are problems. Visit the TVRCC NA site at http://www.tvrccna.org/ and ask there - details under the club officers link - I'm sure they will be able to advise.

Oh yeah, so I am wink

I've met Alex Saidel a few times and have corresponded with his sister, Joanne, after who the Jomar was named.

It depends on how old an 'old TVR' is before it can get in via the 25 year rule. I assisted a few Vixen importations in the 1980s and 90s but I've no idea whether it's more difficult now.

As I understand it the only way you can get a modern TVR into the states is to remove the engine and ship it over as a kit car and install a US type approved engine.
Sounds like a good excuse to fit an LSx engine to me smile
