when someone does that I ease off on the Schumacher pedal and re-engage in 'old-granny accelerator' mode.

perhaps 6-8mph below the limit of whatever road I'm on. NO SUDDEN BRAKING (do you like insurance forms?)

Result: a) you relax, b) he gnashes (watch that blood pressure, rep-boy) c) eventually he'll overtake and go and crash into someone/something else.

You fight another day. Why be part of someone else's accident?

I just eased back and gave myself a bigger gap to the car in front, then continued my "pootle" to work

Its awful when its busy, but great when its quiet. Always use it as a place to stretch my legs for a short stint. The road round the back of the white rose is fun for a bit of after it too.

I had some fool in front of me today on this road doing 40 in the fast lane. I assume it was a woman because of the stupid car - a Renault convertible thing. and she wouldn't move! so rude
