Low-flying at Holbeach
Discussion
Not photos, so sorry!
Having seen on local news that one Harrier from Wittering has lost a practice bomb while on a run up to Holbeach, it reminded me that I'd like to go up for some
How will I know when there are aircraft scheduled to fly? Obviously they don't do this 9-5 Mon-Fri all year round.
I've had a look on lowfly.net for any info, but there only seems to be area information.
Grateful for any help,
Andy

Not much help with the above Im afraid but here's asimilar plight.
The RAF Museum in North London is due to take delivery of a Eurofighter this month (to replace their full size model). It's not often something like this gets delivered and it would make for some unique shots. So I called to get details.
They couldn't tell me when in January it would be delivered and they 're going to shut off public access while it was being hung.
Never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

you could try contacting Wittering direct, but I doubt they'll give out Ops schedules. Worth a try though.Having seen on local news that one Harrier from Wittering has lost a practice bomb while on a run up to Holbeach, it reminded me that I'd like to go up for some

Goes back to start day again
You would probably be better heading to the M6 Corridor or the Mach Loop for a low flying photography trip. Ranges are usually not geared up for good photographic locations and access that you can get a decent shot with > 400mm + multiplier lenses.
300mm on a welsh hillside or up in the lakes is more than enough to fill the frame. Mach Loop is almost always worth a visit but I have become bored and disillusioned with a few of the regulars who took offense to me posting details on my own website on how and where to go to photograph on the loop. Martin on lowfly.net has done a much better job now anyway so my site was redundant anyway. I've been scouting locations in Mid Wales recently, results of which can be found on the wales locations forum on lowfly.net if you are interested.
