It's that time of the month again... next weekend is the second Sunday of the month, which means it's time for the Mid Essex TVRCC meet and the first Mid Essex convoy of 2008. Sunday 13th January then.

Most will know the drill by now, but for those that don't we'll be meeting at the White Hart as usual from about 11:00 for the main convoy leaving at 12:00, and if you're on the Southend meet, at the bays on Thorpe Bay front for 10.15 to 10.30 leaving at 10.45 for the TB pre meet convoy.

confused How do I get to the White Hart..?

1) Take the A12 towards Colchester,
2) Turn off at J19 (Boreham) – keep in the left-hand lane,
3) Take the 2nd exit,
4) Follow the road, it turns to a 40mph,

The White Hart is on your left a few hundred yards further on.
If you get to the roundabout, you have gone too far..!

Or just look up the address at http://www.multimap.com - White Hart, Colchester Rd, Springfield, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 5PG

SOUTHEND PRE MEETING POINT is the parking bays on the front by Thorpe Bay yacht park, in between where Thorpe Hall Avenue and Maplin Way meet the front. 10.15 to 10.30 leaving 10.45

Any questions, just email me or post them up.

Likewise, stick up a post if you are joining us. Any new owners down southend way are welcome to join us - email me if you're still not sure of the meet point.

See yer Sunday.

Was thinking about coming along to this, but seems I'm not in a TVR (or anything remotely interesting...) it might be better if I tried to catch you at the finishing point? Presume it's ok for an interlooper to pop along - especially interested in having a look at S's and wedges if there are any attending.

Hi y'all,
Think I'm going to be making my way to the White Hart on Sunday for the first time, I was making mumbles about it last month but the pre christmas madness got in the way!

Although I haven't been before Chris the opinion I get from past correspondance and the threads up here would suggest any interloper is more than welcome, I'll even stick my neck out and say you can jump in with me on the convoy if you like idea although it would be in a chim and not a wedge/s!

Hope to see you there,
Dom wavey

Sounds dangerous... I was also vaguely considering a chim originally! My bank balance may never recover from a ride in one. smile

hahaha. I seem to remember I was "just looking" about a month and a half ago... After I went to see the first one it was one week and 8 different test drives later that one was sitting on the drive!

Lucky thing is I think its the only impulse buy I have ever made which I haven't regretted a week later!

I think fortunately I'm too poor to get a decent chimera, so probably safe to come along! I'll drop you an email. smile

I've tracked down a couple of cars (of the TVR variety...) for sale locally and I might end up going off to take a look at them as I don't have much spare time at the moment. If not, I'll see you on Sunday...

Good day yesterday and surprised to see such a good turn out, considering weather forecast,

What was the outcome of the couple looking to buy a Chim...? see the Griff boys jumped in quick and tried to convert!

Shawn, this may put a smile on your face, but when we joined the A127 from the A130 going home...You had flames coming from your Exhaust,

I'd say the Camshaft is sorted !

Always encourage anyone who's not sure to try both.........

Thanks to all those Mid Essex peeps who were good enough to offer the drives or took heed of my pleas smile
