Took the Saggy for a short run,got back, thought i would check the oil and the dip stick thing that is attached to the end cap has come off.It looks like the factory had used some kind of glue to originally attach the dip stick to the cap,I assume it would be something that can with stand a bit of heat. what should i use to re-attach it?

I got some stuff called "Repair Express Power Putty" by Unibond from Homebase (I think) It's a tube of clay like material that you cut a length off and mould to mix the two components together.
It sets like rock and is good for temperatures up to +150C so I guess that would be ideal?

Hi Wayne

I have exactly the same problem with my Tuscan. A new one is circa £40 inc VAT so not the end of the world, but let me know how the repair goes if you dont mind.

I know this is stating the bleedin' obvious but make sure the contact areas and surround are completely clean and oil free before repairing because the last thing you want is a piece dry and set adhesive material/putty droppping down there.

I'm amazed that TVR couldn't make a dipstick that works... actually I'm not. Sad really.
