Anyone one here order wine over the internet that you can't find in you local merchant/supermarket?

I've been looking at ordering from vivinum.co.uk which seem to stock many interesting bottles but no one seems to have heard of them? also, winedirect.co.uk?

Ta!

Whilst I have not used their internet ordering service if you like Australian wine I can recommend http://www.southaustralianwines.com/ . I've visited their shop a few times and they seem very knowledgeable and friendly and not in the slightest bit "stuffy" IYKWIM.

One good service they offer is you tell them what sort of wine you like (as much or as little detail as you prefer) and a maximum price and they will put a a mixed case together for you.

For me the only reason to order online is to get hold of rare or interesting stuff. It is hard to beat the case discounts that oddbins or tesco's offer.

I am a big fan of South African wines and sawinesonline.co.uk offer pretty much one of the best selections online at a very good price.
