I think Paul is planning to do the Classic rather than the main race.
This year had even more of the 'Race? what race?' type of visitors so a more specialised event may not attract the same people.
I expect to be there as well.

We will be at the classic as its only every other year, and LeMans has got a bit "busy" I think is a nice word for it..... must be getting old! Anyway, we will stay at the same campsite etc (same as steve and Paulb i think ) here :

Definately the Classics this year. Not sure about the 24hr main race. Went in '07 and never actually got to go to the circuit.

Pi$$ed off at the way it has become "organised" and the policing this year spoiled it for me. No car meets were allowed on the Thursday or Friday at Indie or Arnarge corners, you couldn't even stop at the Hunaudiers for a coke and a giggle.

Has Bernie Ecc's got involved with the ACO? They even "organised" the pit-walkabout so you had to go in one end and were not allowed out the other end! Parking is now more dificult than ever, you couldn't buy tickets at the car parks and they now scan you in & out of the circuit.

I may need to find a decent camp site near the Nurbergring and do the 24hr there instead.
