Hi all,id like to plan a driving holliday for two or even three weeks to France and Italy next spring/summer.I want it to be a leisurely affair and to take in all those fabulous mountain roads and stunning scenery we often see posted on here. What i need to work out are the best driving roads, places of interest and places to stay.It just seems such a monumental task to plan such a trip and ensure you do see and experience what you want.I'm sure there are a few of you who have done this,so i'd really appreciate some advice from the wisesmileCheers,Mike

Apart from the loads of advice from people who have done this in the past if you type "Great driving roads in France (Italy)" into Google that gives you a good starting point.
Also bit of a cheeky one this but you can always look at sites like Driving Adventures to give you some rough ideas of routes as well.

If considering France in July check TdF cycle race website. Depending on your interest you might want to go and see a stage or be at the opposite end of the country. Either way moutain passes can become 'Oxford Street the Saturday before Christmas' overnight

Excellent that is until you check out the ludicrously inflated price. Do it yourself for about half the cost.
