9th August at Bruntingthorpe

with TMS and Guglielmi Motorsport. The biggest TVRCC event of the year is here again. We are hoping for even more TVRs this year and with over 650 acres at Bruntingthorpe there is plenty of room!

Entry is just £15 per person if booked in advance telephone the club office on 01952 770635. £20 on the day.

There will be various events happening during the day at this huge airfield (see pic!) . Along with the various aircraft on show there will also be:
Concours | Auto Tests | Motorsport Displays | Trade Stands | Guglielmi Knockout Karting Challenge | Sprinting on the 2 mile runway throughout the day.

2 mile Sprint open all day – helmets required.
All drivers wishing to take part must sign in at the control tower before they will be allowed to take to the runway. All drivers and passengers must sign disclaimer before being allowed to drive along the runway. All drivers must be TVRCC members and take part at their own risk. TVRCC will not be liable for any damage or injury that may occur.

Other Driving 'challenges'
Off-road driving and driving an articulated truck and trailer will be available on the day at designated sites. These activities are available at extra cost, payable on the day.

Trade Stands
There will be various motor-sport and trade stands on show all day including Toyo Tyres, TVR new demos and Thor Race Engineering who will be able to provide power tests on your TVR – this will be on a firs come first served basis. (Other trade and race teams are due to confirm in the next few days.)

Karting Challenge
There will be a TVRCC Guglielmi Karting Competition – 40 teams taking part in a knock–out competition through-out the day. Entry is £15 per person / £60 per team. This should be booked in advance. Drivers must hold a current driving licence. If you would like to take part in the karting event you just need a team of four drivers. The Challenge will start with 40 teams and the contest will run through-out the day with the final being in the afternoon.

Aircraft Displays
There will be a variety of both military and civil aircraft on display.

Refreshments
There will be various food outlets available for beverages and food – the cost of this is not included in the entry price.

How to get there
Bruntingthorpe is located near to Junction 20 of the M1 and nearby Leicester, Coventry and Birmingham in rural Leicestershire.

I think the guys at Guglielmi managed a deal at one of local hotels In Daventry on the first Bruntingthorpe track day they did, for some of the TVRCC members who were going it, might be worth sending them an e-mail to see if they can work out a similar deal for this event. I don't know if Guge is cruising the net at the mo but how about it?

All are welcome to Manina with or without a TVR - you don't have to own one to be a member!

Ref helmets for the SPrint - all are required to wear one but at present we are unable to hire them - I will see if Bruntingthorpe can hlep out.
If not I am sure people will be able to borrow from those that have had a run.

Also looks like a 2 seater Tuscan Challenge car will be on hand for a few fast rides!!

Stil room fo ra few more karting teams!

Any questions give me a shout.
