Chaps

Have spoken to Paul Calland (Our Webmaster)

Apparently this is a manual purge of the database log-file that needs to be performed. I am told it is apparently allied to the datacenter issue had last week

It will be sorted ASAP once on of his staff can get access to the relevant equipment at Cypher

It's a little bit funny that it was this month Sprint reports the website won a prize as it's been falling over frequently recently.

It's still bust - we've run out of space.
So why does this need physical access to the server? Surely the webmaster/webteam can access the server remotely.

Hmm.......

This is different to last weeks issue which was blamed on the hosting service. This looks more like the issue we had in September which was a basic housekeeping one. In fact I just checked - its the same erorr - the one described before as a "schoolboy error". We have 7000 members, surely we can get a professional outfit to deal with the website?

It won an award because the judges are clueless?

Northan? Have you been drinking again?

I'm from London actually.

Have you managed to ship that manifold to that poor sod whose money you had for four months yet? Or are you still too "busy"? rolleyes

I'll bet they are. A scammers paradise is Ebay. Taking someones money and then leading them a merry dance for four months while it sits in your bank account is probably normal practice there. wink

laugh What's that scam monkey - another threat? LOL. You threatened to bruise members the other week as well as I recall? Makes me proud to be a TVRCC member to know that somebody somewhere thought that someone of your calibre would be a worthwhile addition to the committee that runs the club.
