Which Classic TVR ?
Discussion
I have am going to buy another car very soon and have been looking at several modern cars, including TVRs, cerbera, T350 etc, however I have come to think that a classic TVR might be a good idea.
What I want from the car is, a modicum of reliability, I don't need it to get to work as I work overseas, the lack of use while I am away for 28 days might be a problem but with cheaper 'classic' insurance I could put my son (23) on the insurance and he could give it regular runs.
I want to use it as my everyday car when I am home, but there are other cars in the household if it was in need of some repair/servicing
My son and I would also use it for classic/throughbred sprints/hillclimbs so want something fairly quick, or with tuning potential, good handling/brakes, and be pre '80.
I was thinking 3000M, 1600M, Taimar, Taimar Turbo, Vixen I have seen a Vixen in the classifieds which is already track prepared, that looks tempting.
Any advice would be appreciated, I am heading for home early next week and may buy myself a christmas present while I am back.
