Shell still sell them..I bought one for a friend for a bit of a laugh...anyway the story goes, his car overheats by night..he thinks ahhh I'll use my new TVR mini (notamaglight) light...unwraps it..puts the batteries in...turns it on...boom.. it falls to pieces...so I guess they were made in Blackpool with the cars biggrin

For a cheap torch to keep in the car they are perfectly fine.I believe the manufacturer is on PH. Like most bought mine from Shell (recently.) Some here for sale as well if you dont like ebay.HTH.

My friendly local electrical retailer sells them. I bought one and was disappointed with the very cheap lightweight feel.

Got ours in a shell garage, think it was £3.99, not had any problems with it.

Mines at power at the moment having some preventative work done on the big bulb..I may get the spring changed while its there to a lower more solid one..

Has anyone had theirs red rosed, I'd be interested to see if there is much of a difference?

also does anyone use the ron 99 duracel or will ordinary zinc batteries do? I found mine pinkered on the cheaper ones
