There is a R.W.Y.B. at Santa Pod on the 13th July if your all intrested in going and seeing what your cars will run. Normall gate price and then just a few quid to buy your track time. Take your driving licence with you , you'll need it to sign on.

That sounds like quite a good possibility. I read a thread somewhere that mentioned one on the last weekend of the month unfortunately we are busy that weekend so so this one might just be a goer. I know Fish is eager to go to Santa Pod again. I really enjoyed it when we last went.

Pies - Your car would be fine, its only a standing quarter mile against another car, not much chance of you wrecking your car

Its especially good fun when you run against a maxxed up Nova or such like and you leave them standing

I was goimg to try and get my tuscan on at Bug Jam, along with the bug we are taking. Not sure if they let non vws on the track though.

Edited to add:

There was a cossie sapphire on the strip at bugjam last year. He stalled it on the line and ended up getting beaten by a split camper. The crowd did laugh.

basil, you won't have a problem with getting your car on the strip at Bug Jam, but the commentator may make a bit of a fuss as isn't a VW.......just make sure you don't stall! Oh and be wary of who they put you against, some of the street Bugs can run 12's

Some of the street bugs can run less than 12's. There was a standard looking white cab at Bugjam last year that wheelied off the line and ran an 11 second pass IIRC.
