It's arrived with French instructions only and a French guarantee card.. it was bought from Pixmania this week and a lovely little camera but I'm concerned the guarantee won't hold up - and maybe I could have been better paying the extra 20/30/40 quid from the highstreet.

Any advice on this much appreciated as I cannot get through to them by phone.. have sent email.

I have mailed Pixmania with a problem before and they got back the next day and sorted it... I think they are ok, so don't worry.

Don't worry. Any items sold within the EU are covered by a European warranty by law. This means that if you buy any electrical item in the EU (say France in this case), it must be covered by the same guarantee in the UK.

Don't worry! You're covered! smile

Just go to the Fuji website and you'll most likely find a PDF manual there....

WOW just got through to them on the phone and all is well. In my customer account they had a PDF manual ready for me to download. Quite slick really.

Scotty; It's just a point and shoot Fuji S5700. They're going for under a hundred quid on Pixmania.. they're 150 in Argos.. not quite an SLR but a great cam for ease of use and a lot lot better than my old point and shoot.

I still have my eye on some SLR's but will wait for January sales..
