Trying to locate a rare car - 145 V6
Discussion
I'm just trying my luck here,
i sold my baby a few years back because i fancied a change, now the itch is beginning to return.
Does anyone have any ideas of its whereabouts?
I've searched under the numberplate and it seems its not been licensed since i sold it.
cheers,

Hi, yes its Gari. Hows the 155s going wrinx?
Inital conversion was completed with clovertech in East London, this involved removing the 2.0 four cyl and replacing it with the running gear from a 156 2.5 v6.
A few years after i rebuilt and fitted a AHM semi-race spec 3.0 24v. AHM developed a Hayabusa upgrade individual throttle body assembly for the engine and did the inital remap of the Motec Ecu.
I had matched length manifold and custom exhaust fabricated by Hayward & Scott.
It was running the low geared 2.5 gear box so the performance was quite surprising, since the 145 i've owned a few hot cars including a CSL and 996 turbo, its safe to say the mid range performance 30 to 120mph was easily on par with a CSL.
But it was a handful and torque steered like a mutha! But i do miss that excitement and the noise that sounded like a cross between a F355 and diablo.
Happy days...
If you want to know more send me a PM
cheers,
Gari

Thanks Richard,
i sold it in Dec 2005 to a trader/bodyshop but was late in handing in the yellow part (tranfer to motor trader) letter.
I was told the trader had sold it on, i think via ebay to someone, who is possibly the new owner.
Is there anyway of getting the details of the present keeper?
The company who provided the parts for the engine told me he had been called and that the last owner had blown it up.
I'm intrested in buying the car back and rebuilding it.

I believe the DVLA are able divulge the keeper's details, upon payment of a small fee, to some third parties. Probably clampers and other shysters. They are supposed to not divulge such info to 'Joe Public'; data protection act (and we know how HMG abide by the letter on that one).
This loophole is sufficiently large enough for some high net worth supercar owners to be particularly careful about their cars' reg numbers being shown on internet-hosted photos etc.
