Just want to say thanks to PaulV for his advice about my mini running rough - it was running on 3 cylinders, cylinder 3's spark plug was shagged - covered in gunk, and the other plugs looked a bit tired too. A set of new NGK plugs and she's running like a dream - took her our for a blast, running much better - smoother, tons more power.

Much happier now - just got to get a K&N filter and make up a cold air feed, then get a proper set up done

Sort of a black sooty/oily residue - not too thick, but enough to clog it up.

I'm going to check the plugs every week to see if I get the same build up - it had been running very rich, which I'm assuming was the reason for the plug fouling?

Yep black gak = rich running.

The good old Haynes colour sections...

Now where did I put that Holts body filler?

Thought as much plotloss - but I have leaned out the mixture now (well before Pistonfest), just waiting to find a good local tuner - don't suppose anyone know a good A series expert near Oxford/Warwick do they?

Oselli Engineering?

They are in Brize Norton I think and are well known...

Dont know if they just make pistons and that now though rather than tuning.

I don't think Oselli have ever made pistons? Are you thinking of Omega perhaps? Anyway, they have a pretty good web site www.oselli.com/indexjs.html
