Anybody played the demo of this? I downloaded it off the us store a couple of weeks back but now its up on the uk store I thought i'd ask.

One word for me, wow, totally amazing, grahically although not as expansive as the likes of Assasins creed it does make it look a tad shody.
This had kinda slipped under the radar with me but after the demo its gone to the top of the must buy list. I suppose its best described as a pulp game, reminds me of Indiana Jones and those old 80s films with Kurt Russell in (Romancing the stone???)

If your one of the few with a PS3 on here id recomend giving it a try, potential PS3 game of the year for me.

i've literally just been playing the demo on the ps3.

Not sure myself. The firing is a bit weird - probably because of the angle. I had just been playing cod4 previously, so perhaps that didn't help.

There is a lot of detail. Waterfalls and water is the best I've seen. I quite like it, but with cod4 and now HL Orange Box in the way, it looks like I'll have enough to play with smile

I get what you mean with the controls but I found turning the sensitivity up in options and a second play through and I realy got to grips with it.

Thats somthing ive noticed with this generation of games and more complex controls, it takes a few minutes to adjust for me going from game to game

Like Hodgy I downloaded it off the US PSN just after they fixed the demo, really impressive.

The aiming takes a while to get used to but after that you'll be pulling off headshots like UT hehe

One thing I did was invert the vertical controls for both the camera and aiming, I find it much easier yes

Apparently you get puzzels in the full game and there is a lot more variation.

Pre -ordered mine today from Game for £29.99 with this code: AWDC07XM clap

Well this little gem arrived today and I just lost the last 2 and a half hours to it. Bloody brilliant way better than the demo, To me its like playing a film, so well polished and really good story/voice acting. Seems to be a good mix of platforming, puzzling, and shootouts.

A nice addition that I did'nt expect is the amount of bonus items and achievements to get which give it lots of replay value.

If you have a PS3 and like a good adventure game I cannot recommend this enough, so much for no good games on the ps3 eh!

Got mine last night, although I couldn't play it till late because the other half was watching TV roflbanghead

I got to just past where the demo ends last night, absolutley fantastic a truely amazing game so far clap

That's my weekend sorted then hehe

Although some of it plays more like crash bandicoot than tomb raider which surprised me (although it shouldn't as they were both developed by Naughty Dog). Thoroughly recommended though.

Best game I have ever played!!! Anyone who has a PS3 BUY IT!! You will not be disappointed.

I don't usually 'get' first person games but I really love this.

Best game you've ever played?! It was good, but wasn't that good, enjoyed playing through it twice, but it's certainly not tempting me back for another play through.

And it's a 3rd person game wink

Yep best game I HAVE played! Never played this sort of game as I always end up getting totally confused.. I have been a computer gamer from the Spectrum ZX81 to current day. I'm 35 now so maybe I don't have the patience to learn games like COD etc.

What other games are better then? Maybe I should learn to play them?

I wouldn't say COD would take anymore to learn than Uncharted did, and I'd definitely place it up there as the better game.

Best game for me is still GTA: San Andreas, although I'm sure that will quite easily be toppled by GTA4 when it arrives later in the year.

Don't mean to be rude but do you have learning difficulties? What is hard about controlling a character that moves forward, back, left, right and shoots a gun?

Sorry but you seem to sum up the majority of PS3 owners, fanboys or posers that don't have a clue about real gaming.

That's one of the most incredibly arrogant things i've ever read on PH.

Congratulations.

The man does have something of a point though, a lot of people who never really play any sort of games but would buy a console for the odd game that they'd play round their mates and decide they wanted to play more would buy a PS2, play a bit of GTA or some Pro Evo, then it would sit there for years gathering dust.

This is the sort of player who I now see buying a PS3 (and increasingly the Wii) who don't even realise about the XBox apart from that it's Ghey.

Of course, the true connoisseur will own all three.

So why do I only have a PS3 then? been a serious gamer since the Atari vcs. I tell you why, its because it has the games and features I want, why can the rabid 360 fanboys not accept this? the attitude that some of you put across is shockingly arrogant and one of the reasons I didn't get the 360, the last couple of comments in this thread are a prime example.

My stepson got this, and a new PS3 for Christmas.

Even on a non-HD telly, the graphics are astonishingly good, and the gameplay is excellent.

Highly recommended.

And that seems to be the response you recycle ad-infinitum everytime one of the 360 owners has a pop. I own all three and couldn't consider myself the gaming addict I am without owning the lot, there are games on every system that are fantastic (ok the PS3 is still lacking until MGS4 arrives, but there's still enough there to warrant owning it) and by limiting yourself to one system (unless you can only afford the one) you're really missing out on the gems that are available on the other two machines.

Its just going to go around in a big circle with yourself and me though isn't it? as we both seem to want different things out of our gaming habit and seem to have very different tastes. Agree to disagree seems to be the best option.

So your decision to buy a PS3 was influenced by other people rather than buying something 100% based on what you thought?
