Anyone tried this stuff?
http://www.por15.com/prodinfo.asp?grp=1&dept=1
Expensive but has all the right claims if they can be believed?
Whilst taking my sde-pods off I noticed that the chassis tube on one joint in the engine bay was showing signs of rust where the weld is, which is slightly worrying. Obviously where the powdercoat did not take!
And the build has not finished yet!
Like many, I am sure, we want to make sure we don't allow any rust to start, so need to keep on top of it.
On another subject also noticed that the side-pod moulding has been chipped quite deeply on one edge, presumably when it was orginially pre-fitted. Does one just use filler on these ?
cheers

Used it extensively. Love it. But don't get any on your skin, you'll have it for weeks without the ability to get it off. It is like iron and extremely tough. You can hit it with a hammer and it won't chip. The black holds its color well over the years but the silver will turn a greenish tinge after a year or two.

Green Tinge?
Sounds positively appealing!
Ref the rust thing.....Dunno if anyone noticed but on an earlier thread (someone was selling a wrecked Sport) they eluded to the fact that the chassis had rather a lot, and challenged anyone to scrape back the powdercoating and see what was underneath!
That has certainly put the
'w1llys' up me, and the damn thing is not even on the road yet!!!!
...especially after seeing the rust I have at a joint in the chassis.
I have no wish to see all that money, sweat and tears..dissolve into a heap of red-stuff even after a few years!
Think a session with a drill, some bungs and a few gallons of Waxoil is coming on, even if it drips all the time!
