I am really thinking of going for a TDI audi a3.
I have seen a few for sale but not sure which one to go for.
140bhp sport? sline? 170bhp?
anyone had both?
or would it be better to save some cash and go for the 140bhp version and have a remapp done?
As i have allways driven fast cars i want to get max performance so what power is obtainable from a remap or chip?
thanks

If you must have one...go for the 140 and get the Jabbasport remap. I'd just go for the 2.0T or 3.2.

Go for an S-line car in a good colour with some options if you can, they look much much smarter than Sport and SE cars and are accordingly mroe desirable. Neither the 140 or 170 are slow and both can push 50 to the gallon if you're relatively light footed. 2.0 TDi with a remap is a lovely little pocket rocket. Auto, Manual and DSG are all very good boxes in their own right.

A3s are slightly more mileage sensitive than the larger cars so don't go for anything that's been to the moon unless the price reflects.

Better kit, wheels, styling, trim, residuals... Front splitter really sets the car off on later ones too.

see my other posts - if wanting to remap then 140 is best option!
