Thinking of buying a Chim but the biggie for me is access to a local garage given the general reliability concerns. I spend most of my time around Southampton or Newbury and have found Fernhursts, but they are a bit further away than I was hoping for. Any other suggestions gratefully received

I've had my Griff serviced at APM once and was very pleased with the work. I would definitely go there again. Website http://www.apmautomotive.co.uk/index.htm

Thanks guys, looks interesting.

Any other garages members can recommend as would ideally like someone even closer to either Southampton or Reading to make the servicing side a little easier for me

Bought my car from Henley Heritage, had all my remedial work done there and just had a 12,000 mile service, very impressed overall and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

He's not specifically a TVR specialist, but Simon at Thorne Motor Sports (0118 945 4058 / 07836 503450) used to look after my S3 when I had it. I've also sent a couple of the V8 guys in his direction and know that they've been pleased with his work (he has a lot of experience with the Rover V8).

He's based in Tidmarsh, so only about 5 - 10 minutes from J12 of the M4.

Yes - Andy at APM - exactly what the others say. He has been looking after my Chimaera for a year now and I trust him absolutely to do an honest and first rate job.

Try Racing Green TVR at Ash Vale. Chims for sale, top quality engineers and equipment, 5 mins walk to North Camp Sation and trains to Reading every 30 mins. Call Martin Slade or Chris Chevasco to discuss !
