Where to buy good farm type meat around Bristol
Discussion
Hmm when you say Bristol & area.........how big an 'area' are you thinking? If it's for freezing and it's half an animal plus, I guess you'll be doing a big shop in one go.........
Only there's a meat farm shop attached to a farm/abbatoir near us and they do half a lamb etc.
It's on the road out of Wooton Bassett (J16 M4) going towards Lyneham.
Can't remember name, can give you directions if you don't find anything nearer.
We often go there for meat mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm and they're very good.

Piglet,
You could try Farringtons - its in Farington Gurney on the a37 south of Bristol. We lived that way and still go back occasionally - great meat and other stuff.

As Bint says (if she can see!) the abattoir south of WBasset does great stuff - if you can find the shop (tucked right around the back) and you don't object to seeing the raw materials (so to speak) walking in the front under their own steam. At least you know its fresh.
Drurys I think

Weekend hopefully or early next week. Will be in touch.
From Bassett Drurys is on the left closer to Lyneham than Bassett. Usually some sign advertising half a pig/lamb/rabbit - delete as appropriate.
I've used www.eastleachdowns.co.uk before. It's owned by the brother of a friend of mine.
