American power leads?

My parents are going to the US this week, and i've asked them to get a Canon EOS 400D (Digital Rebel XTi) or a Nikon D40X for me, if the price is right.

Presumably I can just buy a British power lead that will work with the camera e.g. has the transformer built into the lead??

Does the battery charge in the camera itself?

(I have googled for this, but just get a list of sites selling cameras.)

You may find that your charger comes with the two prongs built in and folds away in a tidy kind of way.

Mines certainly did. However it's easy to get the UK - US adaptor plugtop to convert it. It's never caused me any problems in the 3 years I've had mine.
