RS4 B5 or RS6 Avant

Just wondering what everone thought. My partner has always wanted the RS6,however he does love the RS4 B5.These cars secondhand are around the same asking price.Just for it's exclusivness we both love the RS4,but also love the RS6 as also there quite exclusive.Just wondering what you lot would choose and what problems to maybe look out for with either.

For known problems do a quick search on this forum, there have been threads on each car quite recently.

I suppose it depends on what you want from the car really. Both are butch, rare, agressive and expensive to run.

Of the two the RS4 is my favourite, owing to its age it's that bit more exclusive and really really good cars are thin on the ground now. I also can't confess to being much of a fan of the front end styling on the RS6.

I would think an initial decision may be easy make based on which type of gearbox does the driver of the car prefer?

do you need the extra space / want flappy paddles?

mine would both be a no so I would go RS4, I also think the 4 stylig has aged better

Not fussed really.I love both cars,i really do.With the RS6,I love the Tiptronic box,put it into sport and your off like a rocket,but as i said i love both.I know RS4 is very exclusive though.

I would love an RS6!! An awesome machine!

Edited to add - That doesn't mean I don't like RS4's, I adore them! I went out in Kim collins big BHP RS4 and that was a hoot. I have yet to sample the power of the latest RS4 but I'm sure I will have the opportunity at some point in my life.

Agreed,love both mate.Might just get both,then it wouldnt matter
