TVR Typhoon for sale
Discussion
It's a Typhon, not a Typhoon! It is being discussed in the T400/440/Typhon forum.
It's just another rare, overpriced TVR. Just like the Cerbera Speed 12 it will not sell. £90,000.00 is too much for a TVR.
It has the same engine as a Tuscan S and so will hardly be any quicker.
As TVR only made about 2 or 3 of these cars, then once one of the parts that is not a standard part from another TVR or another car fails, then you will not be able to get another and you will have just wasted £90,000.00.

It's a pain isn't it?or say where it's at.
Click on calssifieds.
Click on any model of TVR.
At the top of the page click on TVR and the list of TVR models appears, magically including the Typhon, which isn't there for your second click in this list.

The really big breakthrough for the Typhon was supposed to be the carbon fibre monocoque; although that sadly never appeared IIRC at least one of them has a 4.2 engine. Still a beautifully styled car.Way, way over-priced. If I did have the money and I bought it, would I dare drive it? Probably not, who's going to repair it if it breaksdown.
Having said it is over-priced, if it was a Ferrari or a Porsche that was one of only 2 built, what price would it be then, add another zero to the end me thinks, and it would probably spend it's life hidden away as part of some squillionaires private collection.

Yes it is a unique car, and there is one offs on this car but what you are saying is incorrect. if he crashed it for example i could re-model the body in situ take a mould and graft in the new section. the glass is another, if he broke the glass and there was no more available, i can do a new tool off the car and get more made through my contacts, and thats the same with the interior. I am used to creating cars from scratch so re-making or re-tooling parts is quite easy. It's just another rare, overpriced TVR. Even mechanically the running gear as you say is tuscan s, everything else can be sourced or re-made. I do think 90k is a bit steep, but it certainly isn't a mile off. If its exclusivity you are after then here it is.
