Newbie A3 owner
Discussion
Hi
Just joined the ph forums, after purchasing my A3 2.0Tfsi, its got 200bhp and would like a bit more out of it, worried about warrenty, thought about a revo map, but have heared that when these maps go back in to stock mode for servicing its not actualy the stock map its a revo stock map. Could anybody shed some light on it please.
Hope to gain some advice and help with it too.

If you remove a Revo map or a free trial expires it goes back to the factory standard map, in your case 200 PS. For what it's worth, we've never done a trial on a 2.0 TFSI where the owner hasn't come right back for the full map. They really do go like stink!
I've never actually seen any evidence to suggest that the drop in power is anything but a placebo effect.
With the TFSI in particular it's not the ultimate, top end power gains that you notice but rather the agression with which the mid range torque is delivered.

Hi
Im of the understanding that when you have it serviced at audi (still in warrenty ), that they update the ecu with software upgrades make the car run better etc, they can detect if the ecu has been altered, so if i was to get a revo map and my notirousley week diverter valve on the turbo broke where would i stand?

Why would you need to reset the map for servicing?
qst assured me (fingers crossed) that their mapping was 'undectable'?

ocks chap, which I'm pretty surprised at. If Audi decided to check if your car has been remapped then they can find out. It's just very unlikely they'd bother. Thanks for the advice chaps
So my next question is, as long as an independant audi specialist use's audi parts for the service, the warrenty is still valid?
If so where is a reliable place in the essex area to get my car serviced, also closest place that i will be able to get it reliabley tuned.
Thanks
Dave

No idea, however QST - MTM (Kim collins) in heywards heath can't be a bad idea, or APS in brackley or Fontain in Iver, the last two I can personaly recommend they are top chaps. Thanks
