I reckon it's about time we started a list of who's coming to the party and what model (car, that is although I am sure Kate Moss will be welcome) otherwise we will never know how many bottles of champagne to order!!

I believe it's around June next year - there is talk of a race track in the Midlands having been booked for the occasion. I am sure there are other PH'ers who will know far more and, hopefully, can respond with the details.

Well spotted James. Yes - Ginetta are organising two events provisionally on 5/6 April and 6/7 Sept. at Cadwell then Mallory (main focus being on the Sunday) whereby we'd like as many people as possible there to celebrate 50 years of the marque. In addition to the racing (G20s, G20 Juniors and the G50s), we'd love to have a show and parade laps of Ginetta cars throughout the years. It was great to see some of them at the GOC visit to the workshop recently (story on Ginettacars.com soon).

Hope to see owners and enthusiasts / followers there!

In addition to the festivals - there's also always the opportunity for Ginetta owners to show up with their pride & joys at any of the circuits for the G50, G20 or Junior championships and I'm sure that they wouldn't mind proven Ginetta owners grabbing a coffee in the team/drivers area between races as a show of support for the racing versions of the marque..?

I'm VERY excited to be a new and first time owner of a Ginetta (G20) at this important time in the company's history! That being said, I'm an American owner in the dead center of the continent (Minnesota to be exact). Are there any other American owners on the board, and are there any plans for the celebration on this side of the Pond?

Cheers all.

Dunno about Stateside, but you could always join : http://www.ginetta.org/component/option,com_frontp...

The Owners Club - they should have a contact list of other American owners...

or

Here has a link to NAGOR - which was (doesn't seem to be a site anymore) the North American Ginetta Owners Register..

http://www.motoamericainc.com/links.htm

www.nagor.org.. but doesn't seem to have anything Ginetta on it anymore.. Just a portal frown

Me in a G33 and I may bring my G15 too? Hope they will let us out on the track for an hour or so. At the 40th we had an open track all day which was great.

So how many official 50th Anniversary bashes are there?

Jay has quoted the 2 factory supported events in April and September but who is organising the Curborough event in July? Is this a GOC event?

Extract from this years event list that I've compiled for Ginetta attended events. This is in addition to the two factory events and the other shows we attend each year.

After getting really excited about the 50th Annivesary celebrations I'd almost finalised my plans for the Cadwell weekend when the bloody useless football team I've supported for 40 years only went and made it to Wembley for an FA Cup semi final that very same weekend.

Now what do I do? Take my Ginetta owned for 8 years to an event to celebrate 1958 or follow my first love of 40 years, Cardiff City, to celebrate their best performance since 1927.

Well guys after 40 years of waiting for something like this and the likelyhood it'll never happen again in my lifetime I'm afraid to say it's the football. Hope to see you all though at one of the other 50th anniversary bashes or at a Ginetta race meet elsewhere this season.
