One of our guys has just turned up at the site ready to set up the racespeed & seloc stands.. There are a number of mobile speed camera's been set up on the 4 mile stretch of road between the M40 and Stratford - he said it looks like they've worked out whats going on this weekend.. he nearly got nicked in his lorry and it only does 65mph flat out...

So please be carefull on this bit of road.. what van man is probably the old bill...

Be careful out there guys and gals, they must be feeling dedicated if they're out in force today as it's currently pi**ing it down (don't worry about that, though, it's due to dry up overnight and be fine all weekend - RiverGirrl's done her sundance).

The first part of that stretch of road is NSL dual carriageway (ie 70mph), so they are taking the p somewhat, but they do like to lurk in the layby.

And there's a bit further towards Stratford where an overtaking lane opens up as you go over a slight hill and down - it's short but perfect for whizzing past a numpty BUT they love to try and catch you accelerating to do so safely on their pretty camera...

Have to admit they've been OK in the past, but just recently there's a big campaign locally on the old speed kills theme (not stupid/unobservant driving, inappropriate speed, etc ) , and the whole county's gone anti-car. Not that I'm feeling targeted or bitter or cynical a la CarZee or anything...

yep stratford have had a huge clamp down on bikers in the past few months any.

I think the Idea of the drag cars and there fans would bring them out any, not just pistonfesters

Theres a run from the M40 which is really wide (like 5 cars!) bit its technically single track, great road normally, but lots of blind hidey holes. take it easy.

I intend to do exactly that shortly, in the form of Sol/Montana Sauvignon/Banrock Station/anything else which is lying about, ready to enjoy a therapeutic bout of extremely loud roaringly fast motors in the company of like minded Pistonheads at a drag strip nearby!!! (And that includes Gemini/any other BiB PHers, I know it's not you guys really, it's the politicians).

I am anticipating a progression something like this:

See you there!

Warwickshire plod in general have a low threshold for speed Many villages in the county are imposing 20mph limits now, and they have lots of mobile cameras. Take care out there, PistonFest must seem like a red flag to a bull for them ... don't give 'em the satisfaction!

can we all drive past the @#$*s waiving 2 fingers as a jesture of english victory (yeah right).

I have absolutely no respect for any of this crap any more.. every time I read something about the police it just pisses me off.

oh yeah.. I'd like to send a medal to the biker who got done for doing 157mph recently... thumbs up.. just tape over your number plate next-time and have a brick handy for the CIVILIAN-MANNED scamera-van.. a 157mph brick ought to do a good makeover of the back of one of those vans.. let alone the scamera.

**tis is obviously all a joke.. blah blah**

Get off the M40 at Banbury, and take the back roads from there, much more fun than a straight road !!!!
