How big are the pitches at Houx?

Hello

We are going to be going to Houx next year which have reserved pitches, I've been told they are 35sqm. But what is the length and width of them? Are we going to a fit 28 foot motorhome on one?

I think 6mtrs X 5mtrs.

Mark, I think the standard size of a Houx pitch is 5m x 7m.

7m x 5m but no guarantees you won't have a tree in the middle of it! (or that you'll get three in a row I'd imagine?)

Just asked racetours ([e-mail]) for availability of camping and general enclosure tickets, Houx being favoured location. From what I have read, Houx has halved in size from 2007 (some building being erected) so demand might outstrip supply.
Presume Ph'ers have confidence in racetours as a provider, look OK to me so far ?
Alternatives if not ?

Hmm I've not heard of Houx being altered for this year but who knows...

Houx Annexe is (potentially) not available due to the stadium building - have they misunderstood or might you have misunderstood them? Houx Annexe and Houx are different sites (although close to each other).

Houx is always massively oversubscribed it's a very popular site (the only one with electricity on each pitch (ish!!)) so unless a tour operator can assure you they have availability I think you might be unlucky.

Alternatives? All the campsites except BSJ (and possibly Technoparc?) are likely to be fully booked with the ACO but if you can find tour operators with availability for Maison Blanche or Karting Nord that would be worth having. Bleu Nord isn't a bad fall back position but (IMO) BSJ is a bit far out from the centre unless you've got bikes.

You are quite right, I misunderstood and have now grasped the concept that Houx and Houx Annexe are different camping areas.
Apols if I raised blood pressure to any PH'ers !

Seems like a bit of a lottery until tickets formally go on sale.
Can I book via ACO?
If so how ?

I wouldn't bother trying to book through the ACO now as the list of camping requests will far outstretch the available space. Unless you settle for Beau or Techno.

Spend the extra and register with an agency, at least you know you'll get a place.

There is plenty of threads regarding who's best to go with.
