World Record at Rockingham?

Anyone confirm yet if we secured the record? surely it can't take this long to verify compared to Ferrari's attempt.

Yeah, I checked in the 2008 Guinness Book or Records in the bookshop and no mention in there.

Are we or are we not record holders, wonder how long it takes to confirm!?

Well, I asked Derek Smith on September 25th, for the Dutch Sprint mag, but no answer yet...

It's a shame this is taking so long. Such a lot of effort went into it and I was proud to be part of that effort. I just wish the TVRCC would keep its members informed. It was the membership as well as the event organisers that attempted to achieve this and I for one would like some official communication from the Club.

As I understand it the Ferrari attempt was expedited because they paid a representative from GWR to attend. TVRCC didn't as it was prohibitively expensive.
GWR have been chased by the committee member responsible and the response from GWR was our case is being reviewed.

You will find that they dont hold one record for the largest parade its for the largest parade of Fiats, the largest parade for Ferraris, the largest parade for Mazdas, etc I suspect so I expect we'll get an entry but will not be knocking anyone off a pedestal, as such.

My bloody arms are still aching from that day as well
