Ive only recently picked up my T350 a few weeks ago and I know there are a lot of fellow owners in West Yorkshire area so I wanted to know which Dealers / Indys are recommended to use?

I have a few little niggles that need sorting out and I have the Autoprotect warranty but would like to use someone that is reccommended.

The T350 is my only car also so I need to factor that into the equation really.

I am in Leeds by the way.

Thanks in advance.

My recommendation would be Hexham Horseless carraiges...a bit of a trek for you but some great driving roads on the way and a quality service by genuine TVR enthusiasts. From my personal experience avoid Harrogate main dealer (DriveStyle), driving home with water and oil leaks twice after servicing is not my idea of a quality service, i would never use them again !! Boroughbridge SSCC never used them but i hear good reports. Track V Road i can't comment as ive never used them.

Those opinions are really useful. I had heard not great things about Drivestyle but not heard much about SSCC. I called them to ask about servicing etc.. but they sounded a bit 'off' with me as I told them I didnt buy the car through them and sourced it myself.

If it was John you spoke to dont worry - he always sounds off hehe
Tis just his way!

Loads of good things said about his servicing

Also dont get him wrong - he wont mind a car from elsewhere - if he had to rely on his own sales to provide cars for the service centre then they'd be lot quieter wink

Try TrackVRoad - their service levels are excellent and they are pleasant people to do business with too. yes

I can only agree with you here. Both my TVR's have been into hexham for work and everytime I've been really impressed with the service. If you've got the money then I dont think you can go far wrong with Hexham. I'm not keen on the nigh on £100 an hour labour charges so I'm looking for an Indie who does fixed price servicing.

Does anyone have any good contacts for simply recommended mechanics who are based in/around Leeds that could at least diagnose some simple problems.

I imagine that they will not be anything affiliated to TVR or ex factory people but could do with a good mechanic who I know I can trust to take a look over the car periodically and then use one of the specialists for servicing and the rectification of any faults etc..

Have you tried the yorkshire sub forum? There's likely to be owners of specialist cars in there other than just TVR's. I bet someone from there will know an experienced local mechanic you can trust.

I've being working round the Indies to see who I liked the most, and the work done in Sheffield by R T Racing was the best standard so far.

cheers

I've used Drivestyle several times this year and they have been great, always helpful. My only complaint would be high labour charge - £80ish ph + vat. This might stop me using them once my warranty expires. SSCC have an excellent reputation locally, as do TvR. Incidently, both SSCC and TvR are/use ex Drivestyle technicans.

We recently had our Tuscan serviced at Track v Road. The drive to Clithero from Leeds is most pleasant and the service that you receive from them is definately worth the effort.I have driven for 30 plus years and never had such good attention to detail and excellent service. Give them a call and they will go out of their way to accomodate you.The prices are very reasonable for such superior service.

I have looked at our most recent bills, and the cost of labour is a lump sum against the service. At £420 labour for a 12000 mile service, it's quite some way off £100 an hour.
