Hi Lucky...

Yet to start my build.....everything arrives in November!!....but I'm based in Oulton Broad so Snetterton is my local track....I'll try and get up and have a look see - treated myself to a new camera to record build so I'll get some practise in with some shots of the cars on track....

Also really interested if poss to have a look at the fit and finish you achieved for the interior...be great to catch up and have a chat about the car in general & any tips for the build.....I'm overseas at present but flying back in on Wed evening.....what time does the t/day start?

Anyways hope to be able to meet up with.....ATB,Simon

Were you the guy in the white Elise near the end of the day, that went for the smallest of gaps on the exit of corum (without any indication) and nearly made Peter's gf crash into you? Lucky I saw you coming and did not let her run out into you...

I know there were a few guys in your car during the day, but who lost half the front of it into the Esses lol?

Nice to meet you Scuffers. (hey guys, he's a nice chap.....unfortunately!!) Hats off to your Lotus machines. Very fast and very grippy. Better I'd imagine, with noses though??.......

So yeah, the last (planned) outting in the GTR this year.

The Ultima performed faultlessly yet again. Just under 100 miles on track. Only Scuffers in his mate's Lotus was competition (figuratively speaking if the TD orgs are looking). But even that after it's unfortunate meeting with the scenery, kinda lost it's way.

Lou enjoyed her day (please God make her catch the bug) until the curb hopping antics got the better of the engine cradle. And then she slid into the hot seat of the Ult and they carried on in that. First time I've seen the Ult round a proper track. Fooking marvelous noise!!

We all guessed the timings.... I was getting just below 1.18 and lou, shooting round in 1.28 another few sessions and I'd be feeling the heat!!

So, the Porsche limped home, and with 12,000 miles and a few events under it's belt, X8 GTR has ended it's first full season. Bl00dy great.

Very nice to meet LS7Tango, his project sounds like a dream wish list!! Will be keeping an eye on that one.

Scuffers.......hope your buddy sorts out his motor......that's what happens when you mix it with the big boys!!!

Damn, wish I lighter steering arms......
