Hi!
Just joined today. I've been looking for places to share experiences about my love for "affordable" Italian cars.
About me: I'm from South Africa, and engineer at a mine here on our West Coast and I'm passionate about my job, the area where i work and the cars that I own. I'm originally from Cape Town but the Big City Life has gotten to be a bit too much (never thought I'd say that!) but after 3 years out in the country, I really enjoy the peace and quiet, general absolute lack of crime, and long stretches of open road. There's also always some quality living to do out here, whether it be sky diving, what water rafting, hiking, camping, quad biking through the bush or big game hunting.
The air here is so fresh, that I can smell Cape town on my trips there, from 50 miles out!
Anyway, thr cars I own are:
Alfa 156 2006 2.0 Lusso
Fiat Punto HGT 2005
Alfetta Motronic (Called 159i Gold Lusso in SA).
I've spent several years modifying the Alfetta and it's performance is just brilliant! It's my favourite but i drive it the least as it requires intense maintenance which i can;t afford to give at the moment due to lack of time.
I'm married, no kids yet, and hoping that I can spend some more money on the Alfetta before the kids come along...
Ciao,
Ian
