using opposite tyres

off to donnington tomorrow for a track day i got let down with my new set of corsa tyres however i have got 3 correct ones and 1 spare front right does anyone know if its safe to run a right side corsa on the left side of the car (in the dry) cheers jerrie

personally in a testing environment like a track day I think you are asking for trouble.

I would have thought in the dry it'll be fine as the tread is for water displacement as far as I know. Wouldn't recommend it normally but....

How will your road insurance cover you if you have clearly fitted the wrong tyres?

i suggest you just fit the rears only

or don't fit them at all

A standard 3R will hit the bump stops on sticky tyres anyway.

Dunno about Corsas but cups and PS2s have different compound rubber accross the tyre width so it's not just the tread that'd be wrong.

If they're all the same make I don't really see the problem as a temporary measure.
How about going for it and telling us if it all goes wrong?
Then we'll all know not to do it.
