It sort of looks like a mini !

As I was about to get into the City this morning whilst out and about, two lads about 10 year old asked me what sort of old car it was, cos it sort of looks like a MINI! I pointed them to the badge on the boot which confounded their confusion because as well as sort of looking like one, it had a Mini badge. I was gobsmaked when I realised that thier percetion of a Mini was BMW. Surely the real thing cant have drifted from the lime light allready?

i know the feeling, i used to own a real morris minor, a proper 1930's one, and every time i mentioned it people used to think i had the one that their gran used to own, or the type driven by geography teachers with leather elbow patches!

Surely not!!

I find very small kids pointing at my green brick and shouting 'look, a mini!!' on a regular basis.

Were these kids VERY stupid? I suspect it's that, rather than anything more sinister. The kid next door to me here is DESSY for me to bring the mini down from Yorkshire, because he wants a go in that more than he does the Z4. And he's 11.

Perhaps they're more butt heads than petrol heads?
