In short, YES!
A MK5 with a remap is more fun than a barrel of monkeys but much much less of a handful.
You'll see 260 ish brake and the thick end of 300 torques coming in nice and low down for a very, very satisfying shove in the back! The Revo boys did one (A3 2.0 TFSI) on the day at Audi driver international (free trial) - the owner did one 15 minute session on track and straight back to the Revo stand with a huge grin plastered across his face and waving a credit card.

If you bury it in first and second in the dry then yes, it does squirm a bit but not in the manner something like a VXR does. It's well controllable and probably a nice little reminder that your tyres are saying 'ouch!'.
We do a map for 499+VAT so I guess others will be around there too.

Sounds good to me. I have done a search and Revo Re-Map seem to be very popular on the GTi!!
If the Torque Steer isnt too bad then at £500 + VAT it seems a bargain. Are there any downsides like wearing parts out quicker (tyres obviously if you are spinning them all the time). Any adverse effects on other parts in the ling term? I ask, this will sound daft, because a friend had his M3 re-mapped and some while after his Catalytic Coverter's were wrecked...we dont know if that was as a result of re-map or not by it coincide with it.
Are there big gains in performance? Anybody done a before and after 0-60 or 40 - 60 etc?
