Had to double check wether it was Ben in the 58 car. It was! Ben got a brilliant start in the 2nd race and had two good finishes. I was standing next to Matt James of Motorsport News and this week's issue should make good reading.
Ben,
I know you read this! Well done mate! Good race!

Is this the same person who had a 'go' at Ben in Thursday's M N?
In Thursday's MN it seems the points system has radically changed and goes as follows....:-
20 for pushing someone off
15 points for an unassisted spin
10 points for blonde racing drivers
5 points for blonde racing drivers who support Burnley
an extra 30 points if you work for TVR
10 points for having the initials B.S.
It then goes on to say:-
Ben Samuelson has only had one podium this season, so guess where the rest of his points come from?
Poor Ben, gets it from all sides.... but takes it all in good part.
Still, if his form continues, he could well have the last laugh!!!!!
If extra points are to be given for unassisted spins....David Mason should collect a whole heap for a terrific spin by Camp.
Can't remember how may times the car 360'd
and what an amazing start in the second race......8th to 2nd.....
Congrats to Lee Caroline for the win and to lend your main rival a gear box for the feature race....well that was
It was a great weekend's racing....the Tuscans are always a joy to watch....

Thanks for correcting me; anyway Ben seems to have learnt to drive and was very much on the pace. Should win soon. It will be good be good for the championship if he does.
However Lee Caroline is in a class of his own as he has broken several lap records.
More cars needed!!!
James
For a win I suspect Ben will need Lee to have a problem.
As regards more cars - I think Reidy is expecting around 20 cars on the grid for Oulton. Worryingly this includes me, assuming I get my last signature next weekend.
David Mason's spin caused some hasty evasive action from those of us on the top end of the pit wall. I don't think I've seen the factory crew move so fast!!
A little of topic, so I'll appologise now.

I saw your car on sunday and have to say it's looking impressive. I was talking to a couple of the TVRCC that I'm doing Uxbridge Auto show with on the 20th July, and they were trying to think of something really special to do this year. I thought that if you aren't busy (a long shot I know) you might like to bring the Tuscan along. Transport could easily be aranged and I'm sure much beer could be supplied. If you or anyone you know is interested could you e-mail me or call.
To give you a bit of background Uxbridge Auto Show is a large car show with normally around a thousand cars on display from classics, sports , american, manufacturers and everything in between from the 1900's to present day. This year we have space for around 25 cars and are doing a parade around the main arena where they have stunt displays and all kinds of things happening.
Again, sorry to hijack the thread.
Thanks

I think praise is due to Philip Keen in his first race season who is up there in the top three. He drives brilliantly and is a nice bloke to boot - and the little perisher is only 19! (I should declare an interest - he is sponsored by Racing Green TVR for which we both work)
Praise indeed say Phil out at Thruxton last year his first race in the Tuscan's didn't oo great but was embarrased by any one either. In his first full season, to have as many podium finshes as he has is great news rookie of the year award will be his at the end of the season dinner - you heard it here first !!
On a slightly different note, given that Jay and Steve are not racing this year and neither are the likes of the Brittnels I would have been good to see how Phil faired agaist them, Jay and Steve pushed each race every race at the front, Phil might have found podiums harder to come by......
