Radiator

Does anyone have an idea were I can get a new radiator for my V8S? Don't want to spend a fortune on an alloy replacement, a genuine replacement should do the job. Thanks very much in advance.

I think the V8S rad is a sherpa van rad with an extra core in it (whatever that means, I assume its deeper front - back than the sherpa rad).
The cheapest(!) option will probably be to get your existing one rebuilt by a radiator specialist. I'm pretty sure there's nothing off the shelf.

Are you sure the rad is buggered ?

I was losing water from my V8S, the chassis was wet at the front, but it was the metal pipes that run behind the radiator.

Thanks Chris for the quick reply.
Unfortunatly it's the radiator, as I can see the leakage.
Maybe the specialist is the best option to go for.

Have a good look at the metal pipes aswell while its all in bits with no coolant in it......

Recore costs about £130 or so - should include a repair of any other radiator / pipe leaks etc while resoldering.

Hi, I had mine recently recored locally (Grimsby)for £120 next day repair and a great job too. If you can send it to me I'll drop it in for repair and post it back to you if you are having problems getting it done.
