*Batteries Required

It seems the battery on my S2 has given up the ghost and doesn't want to hold a charge any more. Can anyone recommend a good replacement, or even just advise on the minimum spec so that I can get something ordered today while I'm at work

IIRC mine (so S3) was 70Ah 640CC, but thats from memory as i dont have my notes with me presently, i'll post again this evening when i get in, sorry if thats not helpful enough for ordering today. i think the posts location also became an issue on mine as the wiring wasnt long enough for me get the negative post the wrong way around.

many thanks Alan. I've just ordered a new battery of a slightly higher spec which will hopefully arrive tomorrow

after checking my notes the spec above is what i used as the basis of my selection, i ended up with an optima, from midland magneto. not the cheapest but is smaller in size than most i found, plus there local so no weighty postage. i backed it up with a decent charger that doesnt mind being left on to keep things topped up, avoids disappointment when there is the oppertunity to turn the key.

yes...I looked at the Optima's but couldn't justify paying twice as much for it. No doubt that decision will come back and bite me on the bum!
