New TVRs!!!!!!
Discussion
Whilst visiting HHC at the weekend they told me that they had purchased the ex 2004 motorshow saggy (now sold) direct from tvr and had been stored in a large warehouse i think somewhere in Northampton??? As well as this car it appears there are many other new tvrs including a typhon stored in this warehouse. Why do you think these cars have not been released??? and wouldn't it be great to have a tvr on a 57 plate!

If there are new TVR's stashed away then all those who lost deposits should take note.
Surely if its true, these assets would have had to be considered.
Irrelevant, TVR went bust, end of liabilities other than those paid out to preferential creditors from the monies received from the purchase of the assest in liquidation.Surely if its true, these assets would have had to be considered.
NS bought back TVR and various assets including stock of part finished and finished cars. Legally there is no obligation to honour any debts of the company in liquidation. The sale of those cars, assets therefore is nothing to do with TVR before it went bust.
Harsh I know but that's the law.

I saw the 2004 Sagaris a couple of years ago at the factory and it was in a right state. It would crtainly need a full re-spray and at £15,000 for the original colour it makes it very expensive. The interior was very tatty too with a lot of the prototype bits missing.
The threads not about really about the prototype Sag its the unfinished Orange Typhon we're talking about.V8 GRF said:

Ahh but TVR seems to consist of1)TVR Engineering -> TVR engineering and Production -> Blackpool automotive in Recievership
2)TVR Design and development
3)TVR Production ltd
4)TVR Cars Distribution ( est 1977)
all but 1) are trading at the moment. It rather depends which bit of the company held the deposits and which bit of the company all the bits in storage belong to.
As for the people with deposits I understand they are still being told their cars will be built ?

I assume the moving around of names meant that TVR Engineering or whatever TVR is trading as today had no liabilities and so is not liable for any of the previous debts.
I'm sure that the people who 'lost' deposits have no recourse in law to claim them back or demand their car to be built on the back of their deposit. They are being told that there cars will still be built as a matter of 'goodwill' (Strange word to use I know) but it's the same situation as when NS or DO said the warrenties would be honoured, there is no legal requirement on them to do so.
