exhaust heat wrap ?
Discussion
Hi tuscrv8,
Someone else may give you a more detailed answer but I understand from past posts that you can wrap the exhausts but that in turn just transfers the heat further down the system, possibly towards parts of the car underside that aren't designed to cope with the heat ??
If its just a short section I don't imaging it would be a problem but there are also bolt on heat shield alternatives....

is it ok to just heat wrap short sections of exhaust
i have a couole of areas with wires etc that i just cant wrap so i thought i would wrap the exhaust in those areas , but would this be ok
Yes it will be OK, but why can't you just slide a cool tube over the wires? It'll last far longer; that heat wrap gradually breaks down and falls off.i have a couole of areas with wires etc that i just cant wrap so i thought i would wrap the exhaust in those areas , but would this be ok
