Home made BBQ suace. Well, any coating really especially roasting. Mix equal quantities with ketchup. Dollop of olive oil and lemon juice and balsamic vinegar. Loads of herbs, the fresher the better, to taste. Coat the stuff for the BBQ or the oven. Especially good for bagging meat before roasting, ham for example. Place ham in a bag, wallop the stuff in and leave for a day then roast.
Honey and Mustard Chicken
1 small chicken fillet (around 100g or 4oz)
2 tsp of honey
2 tsp of mustard
3 tsp of soy or tamari sauce
Cut scores through the chicken fillet but do not cut right through.
Mix the honey, mustard and soy sauce together and use to coat the chicken fillet. Set aside for 30 minutes, or up to an hour if possible.
Preheat oven to 220 degrees.
Bake the chicken fillet for 15-20 minutes, depending on thickness, until cooked through and no longer pink in the middle

I've ended up with quite a few jars of the runny stuff and need some good recipes to use it all up.
Sweet or savory but no more honey on toast thanks!
Please help!
Do you keep your own bees? I'm thinking of getting a hive and starting this, any tips? A friend of mine knows a guy that keeps bees on other peoples land and looks after them (he keeps the majority of the honey), this may be my best route as really what I want them for is pollinating stuff as there was a definite lack of pollinators this year and things suffered as a result.Sweet or savory but no more honey on toast thanks!

If you want to keep bees then there is a place near Swindon (Stanton Fitzwarren) that has a bee keeping hut and seem to know their eggs (or bees)and from what I've read they are really into bee conservancy and will probably be able to help you.

from saturday night:
chuck a load of chicken pieces (thighs, legs etc) into a baking tray.
drizzle on some honey.
quarter a large orange (would work fine with lemon, too) and put that in as well.
pour over some white wine.
tear up some thyme and put that in.
generously salt and pepper.
bake for 45-50 minutes and its good!
