Hi, I've got a VW Golf VR6 with a problem with the ABS system. The garage has plugged it in and tell me that there is a permanent fault with either the unit or one of the hydraulic pumps attached, they aren't sure. Does anyone know where you can reconditioned ABS units? I checked the price of a replacement new one and it made my eyes bleed at £560!! Any advice from someone who's had the same problem would by greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Marco

Usual places, ebay or breakers.

I would first recommend taking it somewhere that can prove which part is faulty.

Thanks for that. i've just spokent to Stoke VW Spares and they've quoted me roughly £80 for a reconditioned ABS unit with pumps attached which is a slight saving on th £600 I was told for a new part. They're really helpful, I'll be using them to get this part and anything else I need!!
Thanks
