did anyone else make it through the carnage that was the A2 northbound last night? i saw plenty of cars broken down probably due to overheating/ clutches, including a 450 chimaera.

got me thinking though, i spent nearly 4 hours going through that mess last night and although i got pretty hot (mostly due to bladder being at max fill point for 3 hours), the car seemed fine. water never got above 96C and oil 91C. it may have been a different story on a warm august day (previous years, obviously), but i was impressed.

It was still closed at 5:30am with a diversion via Eltham.

Apparently it was a fuel spillage, they didnt open the A2 untill about 7.00am this morning!

Glad your car faired well, this part of town is becoming an increasing nightmare.
