Yet another newbie...
Discussion
Should've posted something up a while a go I guess, but I couldn't find the accepted stash of newbie posts. Looks like it's in here!
I'm an MK'er of 9 years and have tested out the MK roads in a variety of decent stuff. My current setup is a Honda Accord cruiser and a (forever being modded) Fiat Coupe Turbo abuser. At 300Bhp and climbing, it really does abuse...
Big motor-racing fan too and I'm well up for these local pub meets for car talk and bonnet opening salivations. I've been trying to get some of the Fiat Coupe owners together for some, but we're too few and far between round here, though I do know a few locals now. Shame, because convoys of fast cars is immense for pedestrian double-take fun, especially if they're rare and all the same type.
Does anyone get together for motor-racing event's n stuff?

PS...Anyone see our car on the Drag Racing segment on 5th gear on Monday?
Curse You for making the redvictor all hot under the bonnet. On Topic,
Welcome to PH, good bunch around these parts. Try and get yourself along to a meet or even a race meeting of sorts, you'll almost always find someone else from PH going to it.

Curse You for making the redvictor all hot under the bonnet. We were told to run as the crew in the Staging lanes didnt realise Andy had a passenger.
We went round and did the usual rolling burnout and it wasnt until we got back that we saw Andy had a passenger!
Santa Pod does not allow side by side races with a passenger for obvious reasons.
It was a Press Day when these runs were made.
As for the 9.4...the engine decided it was hungry and eat an intake manifold gasket making the motor very lean through the top end! No damage but a pretty major rebuild was needed....
Ho-hum spoke to Andy after the run and he was all cool...

I've been to the 'Pod a few times, all in my funcar. And I'm definitely one for getting rides in nice cars... er, I mean going to meets.
Afraid there is not a spare seat in our car and it isn't road legal...Edited by mattikake on Wednesday 3rd October 13:54

We did have it on display once in Middleton hall at the MK Shopping Centre, for some reason security wasn't impressed when we drove it from the car park to the doors of the Shopping Centre...the spoil sports made us remove the battery and fuel tank...

Why not make it interesting, John Lewis to Moss, out by Zara, round past Boss, h&m, Virgin, back in at M&S and down the other side.
None of this "she doesn't turn corners too well" excuse either
Sounds like a good idea, we can tootle it round the corners and belt it down the straights.None of this "she doesn't turn corners too well" excuse either

This sounds like a race that needs to be done on a mountain bike on a Saturday afternoon.
Carnage!
