Currently residing in a field near my office. I was wondering if it was a Jag at first but Googling has revealed it's an old (2003?) Lister.

Yum

'Fallen from grace' is an expression that springs to mind there, what a shame.

There's a chap around here somewhere called Dokic who should be able to help you - he's experienced in such things....

Stolen or maybe just a display model (nothing underneath the bodywork)?

It hasn't been there long, you can see the tyre tracks for the tow vehicle in the grass.

Definitely worth giving Lister a call to see if they have heard of one being stolen. Although with those houses in the background its obviously not particularly remote.

It only turned up yesterday so perhaps "residing" is a bit misleading. It's not like it's been sat there for weeks/months.

The chap whose field it is always has various old Jags parked up and I believe he's into restoration. Since the Storm used a modified Jag V12 maybe there's going to be an engine transplant into one of the XJSs he's got there at the moment? evil

It is complete with engine etc or just a shell? It seems bizarre to have something so potentially valuable just sitting on an unsecured trailer.

The trailer looks decent too!

PS. It would seem it uses a Lister developed Chevrolet V8 of some sort and not a V12.

Even minus the engine the rolling chassis would be worth something. Not very wise to just leave it sitting around like that!

Sounds like a good bet. Maybe giving it an overhaul of some sort.

Lister are in Surrey which isn't a million miles away so may have come from there?

It's like the guy who does my exhausts. Hidden away in Slough, Turn up and he's doing a exhaust for a Lola MG, Lotus Esprit with V8 Audi Engine and my friends Lotus 23B. Last place on earth it thought i would see a Lola MG sitting outiside with all the body offcloud9

That is very odd indeed. I assume the chap has bought it as a restoration.

This is the Storm LMP by the way, disctinct from the Storm GT which was also sold as a road car.

Although Lister are known for Jag tuning - and that marque really does need reviving as Jaguar's equivalent of Brabus - the newer LMP cars have Judd power I think.
