And I thought there was cash in cars....eek

Dropped down to Monaco via Frankfurt Motorshow in a F328 GTS (old school rocks!!) and took a few snaps once we got there:

Nice weekend - get yourself to Jimmy'z night club if you are ever down. An experience you'll never forget!!

Do you mean the RIB on the deck or the actual yacht itself?

Pah, they are just pretending to be big expensive boats.

Now this is a boat and it's not the biggest in the world...

Regarding the photo third from the bottom where you can see a superyacht named Alfa Nero. It seems that is was recently launched in May of this year.

I didn't think you could get much better than 3 gas turbine engines, but Paul Allen's boat is just ridiculous!

From what I heard from another member here, I don't think that the company that produce the Wally motoryacht have sold a single one. I believe that the owner of the buisness now uses the company demonstrator as his own motoryacht now.

I quite like Alfa Nero in the pictures above. It looks similar to Paul Allan's superyacht too in some respects.

Was there not going to be a 500metre superyacht built for the Saudi Royal family or a royal family of that region ?

I like the look of Alpha Nero too.

Peter, are some of those shots taken from the rooftop bar of Le Meridien?

No, from the little garden half way up the drag to Casino Square. Meridien was behind us I think or the Hermitage????

Still can't get over the 'types' in Monaco. Great people watching material if that's yer thing.

Nice as some of these motoryachts are, I think I'd still like a sail powered vessel. This ought to do it:

We somehow managed to blag a table on the roof of Le Meridien on the Sat night of GP weekend, you could still smell the hot rubber and the fumes and we just sat and drank fantastic cocktails overlooking the harbour and people watched for upwards of 8 hours. Fantastic!

Wouldn't fancy doing a headsail change on that!
