2003 was our first time. One word best decribes the event,

FAN-BLOODY-TANSTIC!!!

We drove down Friday afternoon, avoided lots of traffic, got to Houx around 11pm. Pitched the tent, blew up the paddling pool and wandered off in search of adventure.

Saw the start, went to the JK gig (excellent, thanks to Audi, JK and the boys). Invaded the track at the end of the race.

Did anyone see the chaps in the Bentley at Arnage on Sunday night, how cool were they?

If any Le Man virgins are thinking of going next year, don't think. DO IT!!!!!

See you next year

This was my first year and feck me it was brilliant! I didn't realise the trip down (on Thursday) would be such a laugh, hardly saw a non GB plated car, almost all were sports cars. I even got passed by a Zonda and Lambo in convoy! And it didn't let up when we arrived - we stayed a Maison Blanche next to the road opposte Parking Bleu and the stream of fast cars going past was almost continual! It was car heaven - apart from a Mac F1 I think I must have seen every possible petrolheads's car including an Enzo giving it some!

Other highlights :
Beer
Grand Marnier chocolate pancakes
Beer
Burn outs (new looking 4 door Bentley was the best - smoke everwhere - they even came back for another go!)Beer
Driver's parade - most drunk I've been in quite a while!
Beer
Hawian Tropic girls
Beer
Pit inspection scrutineering on Saturday
Beer
Oh yes, the race!
Beer
Arange / Indianopolis at night - stood there for hours with beers and a sausage sandwich watching the cars go by
Beer
Multiple fireworks displays on Sunday night to beat most official November 5th displays!
Beer

....and think I've only experienced a bit of what goes on.....definitely hooked and thinking of next years race already....TVR must return!

Cheers,

Andy.

Oh and Jamiroquai played on Saturday night for free but I couldn't give a toss - Arnage was much better music for the ears

Had an absolutely bender of a weekend, down on Thursday & back on Monday. I was shocked at how many brits there were, and even though we didn't have PH stickers we were beeping with much abandon at you lot. It's a shame to hear so many people got fined on the way there and back, I guess luck was on our side but I think hitting 172mph was one of the highlights

I thought the race was superb and was amazed at the sheer noise in the grandstands, great that Bentley did it and we even managed to blag some action in the pits and was in the garage for a driver change and refuel

Unfortunately I still feel ill from the post race beer session, [a proper wallet emptier] induced by a couple of M3 nuts we met at a hotel just outside Le Mans. I have a really bad/good feeling that this is going to be a firm fixture in my motor racing calendar for a long time.
