HL Gorner (New North West Dealer) Open Weekend
Discussion
For north-western TVR enthusiasts who can't make it to PistonFest, there's an alternative. To celebrate their first couple of months with the marque, Wigan-based TVR dealer H L Gorner Ltd have decided it's about time they had a bit of a get together. If you are going to PistonFest then pop in on Saturday morning.
They're turning nearly all their showroom over to TVR for the weekend, with some special additions including:
- One of the T440 Le Mans race cars
- Richard Hay's Tuscan Challenge race car
- Last years "Purple Peril" Speed Twelve GT race car
There'll be test-drive opportunities all weekend in their Cerbera, Tamora, Tuscan S and T350c demonstrators, plus an sizeable used car selection and a choice of TVR Merchandise and Leven accessories.
The workshops and body repair centre will be open to give visitors an idea of the scale of the operation and the size of the site.
As well as all that, on the Sunday morning they're serving up the bacon butties and mugs of tea and coffee, before having a lunchtime photoshoot and an early afternoon (2.00pm) run-out from the showroom.

For a first attempt (for most of us anyway) it turned out to be a lot of fun. We were only out for a couple of hours (including a swift shandy at the end) but the sun was out, everyone was really friendly and the cars were superb.
I'm looking forward to the next one, when hopefully we can get more attendees, and a larger selection of exotica........
