Well done to the TVR's at Prescott hill climb yesterday. That course did look very narrow.

A complete mix of the days activities are here:

Hi Dave,

Any chance of a copy of the Hi-Res to put on our web site and possibly use some in the forthcoming TVRCC Speed Championship Calendar - please.

Our website is here: http://www.tvrspeedchampionship.co.uk/

My email address: tim@tvrspeedchampionship.co.uk

Bit of a rarity to see Geoff having 'a moment'. biggrin

What are the black bits on the front of the cars. Are they some sort of towing hook-up in case they need to shift something quickly ?

Cheese knifes

Nope I asked this - bits to break the timing beams that are all over the circuit.

No, they're beam splitters.

On a timed event such as a hillclimb or sprint, it's against the clock, so the timing strut is fixed to the car to be the furtherest forward part of the car and splits the timing beam cleanly.

Hope that makes some kind of sense? scratchchin

Oops, I only locked up a little bit coming into Pardon Hairpin;

(Hang on. *Is* that the entry to Pardon? It all looks the same when you're terrified...)

So, having slowed down too much, I then accelerate too much;

Nice pictures, Dave, thanks very much. Oh, yes, it *is* very narrow. But at least it wasn't tipping down like last year!

Interesting to see Geoff having his "moment". He'd been giving me advice not 10 minutes previously about why, despite being the second quickest overall at 64ft from the start line, I was so slow under the bridge. Mind you, we were all sat in the start-line queue casting anxious glances at the sky while they dragged him out of the gravel.

I think I'll try a polarizer next time to kill the reflection on the windscreens

But then you'll be able to see the expressions of terror... smile

I have to admit I was looking at the track by orchard thinking about the lines to take, then realised the width of the tarmac available. That was blooming narrow at places, and the change of camber at Pardon must have been really awkward.

At least you drove it. I walked up and down the side of that track so much...

At least if you go off at Pardon its a gravel trap. At semi-circle you come back down the hill backwards on the grass (not me but it happened).
Yes, one of our number did it at first practise! And last year one of the Cerberas did it as well - names omitted to save embarrasment!

Shame about the weather though. If you had turned up on Saturday like me the afternoon was nice and sunny. Much nicer

This is the third year I've done Prescott, and far and away the driest. If you omit the fact that the meeting actually got postponed from 22nd July because of ... flooding!
