There must be someone on here that must know what was announced or spoken about, or are are you all under NDAs?

The silence was deafening. wink

My source suggested that it was pretty much going over old ground, but with representaion from some of the other companies who were rumoured to be involved - including Ricardo. Adds some credability I guess, but only if you have a trace of faith that something will happen.

Yes I'd heard it was something to do with the Speed 6 but nothing more than that.......

Were you there, Robby T? It seems like you always have the inside track on this subject. How about a more indepth report for everyone?

Two men in a room....

Russian man says, "I've got an idea for a car, 0-60 in 1 second, top speed of 300 mph, to be built in Blackpool, Italy or Mars, can't decide which"

Man with Rochdale accent replies "Shall we call it the Smoll Cat"

Everybody lived happily ever after

The end.

I heard this indirectly:
Major upgrades to the SP6.
Bodies from South Africa - unclear if variants on previous model range or new.
Manufacturing in Italy.
Parts from Multipart.
Cars on sale in 2009.
Don't ask me how reliable this is as I do not know, just acting part of the online rumour mill.
It doesn't inspire me to start saving for a deposit, but you never know.

All sounds correct apart from bodies made in south africa...they cannot and will not do the volume tvr requires for a global market. so after the BS clears they still dont have a body manufacturer

How about the company that made Noble's bodies in South Africa? They'd be able to produce the require volume (stop laughing!) without any problems.

no they would not.........tvr was talking about 1000's of vehicles per year....if they was talking mid hundreds then yes...

The factory is south africa does low volume niche sports cars not mass produced vehicles as tvr would have us believe that they intend to do..certainly for the usa market

I'm not sure i give a fig anymore...
- They won't be British
- They probably will be worse quality
- I don't think it will improve any existing TVR owners situation

Sad, but I'd be very surprised if that were the case.

That's just exactly the same 'news' as earlier this year only they've changed the year from 2007,2008 to 2009 and added the Multipart deal.

So that's about as reliable as a Speed 6 with an empty sump frown
